Harry Van Ornum and Les Cizek founded Four Sisters in 1994. After five successful years in downtown Fort Bragg, California, Harry and Les broke ground for a new shop on five acres of redwoods a short distance out of town. They moved into their new workshop in the summer of 2001.
Four Sisters occupies one of the finest shops in the country and was the subject of an article 'Dream Shop in the Woods' that appeared in Fine Woodworking magazine's annual 'Tools and Workshops' issue for Winter 2002/2003. You can use the link below to read a copy of this article.

The partners, both men of much experience, had worked in many shops around the country and knew exactly what they wanted in a new one. The 3,000 square foot space is divided into a bench room for hand work, a machine room with the finest wood and metal-working machines, and an office/library. Plans for the shop are available. Contact us by E-mail if you are interested in these.
Scotty Lyons runs a weaving studio on the second floor, sound- and dust-proofed from the woodshop below.
