Various wool rug patterns Wedgeweave, a beautiful Navajo technique

Jason Pollen named this finely woven silk fabric "whisper." I used scrap yarns from silk upholstery projects to weave this cloth, much like one would weave a rag rug, but just using tiny threads. I randomly wove in silver and gold from kimono silk that I purchased in Japan years ago. The detail as shown here is blown up at least 200 times. There are 90 threads to the inch in this fabric.

A meditation blanket constructed from a beautiful African batik given to me by a friend. I backed the cloth with a cozy fabric and quilted the layers together. The pillow I made to coordinate.

These pillow covers were made by Jean Young. The white square is a detail of the pattern we used, looks like kimonos holding hands. Jean and I had a great time working together for the two weeks she was here.

Samples of various techniques hanging in my studio just as reminders of things that inspire me.
